The new version includes minor changes, improvements and fixes that improve the application.

 

Improved settings for render time and resolution


- the default setting will ensure a fast render for a first evaluation
- resolution for print quality output

 

Improved animation


- added Indeo video codec to installation package
- added slider to adjust exposure level

Changes made in the new build:


-Added the Indeo video codec to the installer; for the animation
-Added a slider to adjust the exposure level in animation; it is useful to render preview still images to determine the right exposure level
-Changed the resolution limit to 16384 x 12288 for still images
-Improved the settings for rendering time
-Improved the settings for image quality
-Improved the colour range for the false colour visualization
-Fixed the custom light shaft resizing
-Fixed the iso contour output making too many red lines
-Fixed the roof window + facade window element placement validation
-Fixed the aspect ratio of the plan view render
-Fixed the 2 slope roof; the roof pitch keeps the proper angle when resizing the outer wall height
-Fixed the application crashing when inserting a roof window after deleting a façade window

 



VELUX Daylight Visualizer is a simple tool for daylighting design and analysis. It is intended to promote the use of daylight in buildings and to aid professionals by predicting and documenting daylight levels and appearance of a space prior to realization of the building design.
 
VELUX Daylight Visualizer's intuitive modelling tool permits quick generation of 3D models in which roof and facade windows are freely inserted. Other features include a surface editor, site specifications as well as flexible view settings and multiple daylight parametrics providing accurate predictions.
 
Simulation output: luminance, illuminance, daylight factor, daylight/sunlight animation.
